In training his clients, Joe emphasizes injury prevention and uses kettlebells as a long-lasting way to train for strength, mobility and function in their lives outside of the gym. He trains kettlebell athletes to not only have general strength and endurance, but also excel in strength using tools beyond the barbell and kettlebell: bodyweight reaction-based stability training, battle ropes, sandbags, bulgarian bags, atlas stones, and more. He finds that training the body as well as the mind in multiple angles and planes of movement is what keeps the kettlebell sport competitor in the game and not sidelined from repetitive stress.
At the Summit, he will co-teach GPP (General Physical Preparation) with Kimberly Fox under the Athlete Track.
