Sara Nelson

Sara Nelson is a Master of Sport and pioneer kettlebell athlete in North America.  As a founding member of the renowned Ice Chamber Kettlebell Girls team, Sara helped popularize GS (Girevoy Sport) in 2008 by winning pivotal competitions such as the inaugural American Kettlebell Sport Classic, Arnold Classic, and NAKF Nationals. Since then, Sara has progressed to become the 2014 IUKL Amateur World Champion in Snatch and 2016 IUKL Professional World Cup Champion in Long Cycle (single bell).  Sara is also responsible for the coaching and development of the youth athletes at the Ice Chamber, including junior record holders Miranda Robbeloth (Master of Sport), Rylee Reeves (Candidate for Master of Sport), and Emma Traynor (Candidate for Master of Sport).

At the Summit, Sara will serve on the panel “Involving Youth in Kettlebell Sport”, and present on two topics under Coach/Business Track: “Program Design for Teens, and “Balancing GS Training with Work & Family Life.”
