As an Aircrew Naval Search and Rescue Swimmer, Rob Miller was taught to be ready “So Others May Live.” While stationed at HSL-48 Vipers as Naval Search and Rescue Swimmer from 1997-2002, the gym was his hobby. He certified as a personal trainer with ACE while still on active duty. What started as a side job soon became his calling. When his friend Arturas Kolgovas introduced him to kettlebell training in 2004, he was instantly hooked.
After years of practicing on his own and reading training journals, he decided to take the Russian Kettlebell Challenge (RKC) in April 2009, then the RKC II in June 2009. In 2013, he was promoted to RKC Team Leader, and in 2014, to Senior RKC Instructor, tasked to lead the kettlebell certifications. Also in 2014, he created a kettlebell competition called the KETTLE PRT, a bi-annual event that tests one’s fitness in seven categories with hardstyle kettlebell techniques.
As a Senior RKC Instructor, Rob has certified hundreds of people and has had the honor of working with great leaders in this industry. He looks forward to presenting the techniques and benefits of hardstyle kettlebell training to the kettlebell sport community at this year’s Summit.
